That pursuit is what inspired the creation of Thistle Tone, a new product line from Melvin Reeds focused on quality bagpipe accessories designed to help pipers get the very best from their instruments — without breaking the bank.

At Melvin Reeds, we’ve spent years working closely with pipers, bands, and Pipe Majors who understand that even the smallest accessory can make a noticeable difference in tone, stability, and overall performance. From tuning tape and maintenance tools to practical accessories used every day, the details matter. Thistle Tone was created to focus on those details.

What makes Thistle Tone different is our approach.

We are not interested in rushing products to market or releasing accessories simply to expand a catalog.
